Controlled Moisture Resistance

Choose the Paper Weight According to Use

GSM affects strength, flexibility, material yield, and converting performance, but it should not be used as the only indicator of barrier quality.

33–40 GSM

Lighter grades can be considered for:

Temperature and Use Limitations

Sprui’s current wax paper specification is intended for brief contact with warm food at moderate temperatures below 70°C. The final approved limit depends on the wax formulation, food type, contact duration, and testing conditions.

Do not use standard wax paper:

  • As an exposed oven tray liner

  • Under an oven grill

  • In direct contact with heating elements

  • For high-temperature roasting

  • As a substitute for baking parchment

  • In high-temperature steaming equipment

  • In an air fryer without product-specific validation

  • On an open flame or barbecue grill

Wax can soften or melt when exposed to excessive heat. Buyers should provide the maximum food temperature and contact time before approving a specification.


Single-Side or Double-Side Wax Coating
